COMMENT: Britain must condemn Israeli bombing
28 December 2008
BRITISH PRIME Minister Gordon Brown’s failure to condemn Israeli murder of Palestinian children is deeply worrying and disappointing. Britain must bring full diplomatic and ministerial pressure to bear upon the reckless regime now in power in Tel Aviv. Israel risks further terrorist outrages against itself and western targets if justice is again denied the Palestinian people. It is not an excuse to say that a few ineffective rocket attacks justify the massive counter-assaults. These must end now and a just settlement must be sought by the United Nations with Israel disarmed if necessary. Please write to the Prime Minister now to demand a change of policy.
